2021 Young Photographers’ Competition – Results

We are pleased to announce the winners for the 2021 Young Photographers’ Competition. Entrants were able to enter their work in any of five categories: Chinese Community and Friends, My Chinese Studies, Characters of China (under 14s only), Chinese Design at Home, or Chinese Stories.

These themes were designed to give pupils ideas on how they could engage with Chinese culture in their entries whilst in the UK.

We asked entrants to demonstrate engagement with their chosen theme along with creativeness and resourcefulness. Many pupils rose to the challenge, which made it even more difficult to pick the winners, who have now been contacted.

There will also be a physical exhibition showcasing the winning students’ work onsite at:

North Cloisters, Wilkins Building, UCL, Gower St, London WC1E 6AE.

We invite everyone to come along. The photos will be on display until Late May.

We’d like to thank everyone that entered this competition and those that supported them in doing so, for example their schools and families. We also thank the Chinese Embassy for their generous support of this year’s competition.
