CPD Programme for Early Career Teachers of Mandarin – 2023-2024

We are delighted to announce that Early Career Professional Development – Mandarin Teacher Micro-programme 2023-2024 is now open to applications.

In line with the Early Career Framework, this subject-specific CPD programme – which has been delivered over the past three years with high popularity – aims to support first-year and second-year Early Career Teachers of Mandarin in the UK, and complement their general induction programme.

In response to the high demand during the past years, in 2023-2024 the programme – involving three full-day face-to-face sessions – will be delivered at two locations – London Hub (UCL Campus in central London) and Leeds Hub (The Morley Academy in Leeds). Applicants are required to indicate the hub of their choice for the entire programme during the application process.

Covering a range of specifically selected areas and topics, this programme will enable ECTs of Mandarin to further develop their practice and subject expertise with experts, experienced practitioners and peers.

Please visit the webpage via the link below for more information about the programme, the session dates and application process.

This programme is free of charge to all first- and second-year ECTs of Mandarin who are holders of Qualified Teacher Status or registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS), and who will be working in UK-based schools in 2023-2024.

As we anticipate high demand for the programme and spaces are limited, prospect applicants should apply as soon as possible and before the deadline of Friday 29th September 2023. Applications may close earlier than the deadline if all places on the course are filled.
