13th Annual Conference

The 13th Annual Conference is approaching! On Friday 17th and Saturday 18th June, the UCL IOE will be buzzing with experts involved in the teaching and learning of Mandarin. This year’s conference theme is “Creativity and Collaboration: Meeting the Challenges Ahead” and we have the workshop proposals we have received promise a great diversity of interests.

*Teaching In Creative Ways- from new approaches to grammar, to differentiating activities, our experienced teachers are here to share their best practice

*Working with Technology- how flipping your classroom, engaging learners with Apps and making the most of online classrooms can create positive change in your classroom

*Curriculum Design and Assessment- workshops focused on information about different assessment routes and changes ahead, practical examples from schools about how they have made Mandarin work for them

*Career Progression- from developing who you are as a teacher, to building a successful department

*Primary Teaching- how do we engage our young learners, and create successful Primary Mandarin learning? From practical tips, to curriculum ideas
