The IOE Annual Chinese Teaching Conference is the largest CPD opportunity of its kind in the UK for teaching professionals in the subject area of Mandarin Chinese.
The 23rd Annual Chinese Teaching Conference will take place on Saturday 10th October 2026 at UCL Institute of Education in London. The Annual Chinese Teaching Conference will be a one day event.
This year’s conference theme is “Expanding Horizons through Chinese: Integrating Language, Culture and Careers”.
The theme embraces the fact that learning Chinese offers students far more than language proficiency – it opens the door to understanding a rich cultural heritage, engaging with a global community, and accessing an expanding range of opportunities for those studying Mandarin in schools. Our speakers and presenters will address the question ‘How do we equip our students with intercultural skills and broaden their horizons so that they thrive in today’s global society?’
