On Sunday 27th September, our Teacher Training Coordinator, Philippa Vallely, will be leading a teacher-training event at the Museum of Liverpool.
For Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, the Museum is hosting a celebration of Peking Opera, provided by the University of Liverpool’s Confucius Institute. This will include short performances throughout the afternoon and an exhibition of photographs and instruments.
In the afternoon, Philippa will also be running a teacher training workshop for Mandarin teachers in the North-West region, focusing on creating fun activities to get learners using their Mandarin, practicing grammar and developing their skills. The session will also look at how to develop and adapt teaching materials, and how to manage classroom activities effectively. It promises to be a fun afternoon, and a great opportunity to meet other Mandarin teachers in the region, as well as a chance to explore the wonderful museum, so book your place now!
