IOE CI Training Courses and Events

The IOE CI has a variety of teacher training and professional development events coming up in the next few months. These events include Pre-U training as well as Mandarin grammar courses. Our broad range of events are aimed at those with differing levels of Mandarin, and information on individual events can be found below.

November 2014

21st & 22nd – Getting to grips with Mandarin grammar teaching (Part 2). The second part of a two-part course to develop the ways in which you approach grammar in the Mandarin classroom. 28th – Doing Dragons Differently. A one-day event which will take you through the wonders that can be unlocked in your local museum, Chinatown or Asian supermarket. Click here to book onto this course and to find out more.

December 2014

2nd – Teaching the Cambridge Pre-U Mandarin Chinese Culture Paper. A one day event hosted by Trinity School in Croydon, addressing the cultural essay paper (Paper 4) of the Cambridge Pre-U examination. Click here to book a place.

January 2015

26th – Universities and Schools Day. A one-day event which aims to bring together schools and universities from around the UK who offer Chinese language and/or cultural studies for students, to be able to learn more about each other, from both the school and university perspective. All of our events and courses are delivered by a wide range of people who are all considered experts in their field. All of the above courses are free and are highly beneficial to professional development in the field of teaching Mandarin and/or Chinese culture.
