This event took place on 28th November 2014. We plan to make this training available online in early 2015.
This is a one-day event will explore the wonders that can be unlocked in your local museum.
Museums are some of our most underused teaching resources; they offer unrivalled opportunities not just for the study of specific topics but also for developing thematic study and observational skills and for stimulating the imagination. This course will look at the ways teachers can harness museum resources both in actual visits and through the wealth of material on their websites.
Doing Dragons Differently is suitable for all school teaching professionals who are interested in teaching Chinese culture and will be led by James Trapp, who is the former China Education Manager at the British Museum. The event will take place at the Institute of Education and the British Museum with lunch and coffees provided.
This event is a very exciting opportunity to learn more about museum resources from a trainer with a vast amount of knowledge on the subject.
