Education Minister to Open Conference

600 x 200 Elizabeth Truss (from her website) (feat.)We are delighted to announce that Education Minister Elizabeth Truss MP has agreed to open this year’s Annual Chinese Teaching Conference.

The Minister visited schools and education centres in China earlier this year to study teaching practice in Shanghai, Wuhan and Beijing.

While in China, the Minister hailed an agreement between Hanban (Confucius Institute Headquarters) and the Institute of Education Confucius Institute for Schools (IOE CI) to set up a major centre of excellence for training UK teachers of Mandarin.

Our 11th Annual Chinese Conference for Schools takes place in London on Friday 6th Saturday 7th June 2014. It is the largest professional development event of its kind in the UK, specifically for those involved in and interested in teaching Mandarin.
