We are delighted to announce an exciting and unique CPD micro-programme which has been developed by IOE CI for first-year and second-year Early Career Teachers (ECTs), formally called NQTs and NQT+1s.
This year-long Mandarin-specific micro-programme will be initially run through two days of face-to-face sessions during the 2021-2022 academic year on campus at UCL. The days will be Saturday 23rd October 2021 & Friday 18th February 2022.
It covers a range of specifically selected areas and topics based on the DfE’s Early Career Framework and in line with Teachers’ Standards with subject-specific consideration and input, in order to support ECTs of Mandarin during the first two years of their teaching careers. Through the programme, ECTs of Mandarin will be able to further develop their learning and teaching practice with subject experts, highly experienced teaching practitioners and joint practice development with their peers.
Please visit the webpage via the link below for more information about the programme and the session dates. You can also watch the testimonial video where the participants from the programme 2020-2021 share their feedback and reflection on their learning and teaching development.
This programme is free of charge to all first- and second-year ECTs of Mandarin based in UK schools. Application for the programme can be submitted via the link above by either the ECTs themselves or their Induction Tutors. As we anticipate high demand for the programme and spaces are limited, we encourage you to apply for the programme as soon as possible and before the deadline of Friday 24th September 2021.
