In 2022, students spent 3 days in school following the online course and completing their campaigns in small groups with their peers. Their work was submitted to the MEP team, who then forwarded their video advertisements to the universities who were hosting students soon after. Each university hosted around 100 MEP students from multiple different schools.
In the morning, the universities organised activities for the students to take part in, such as: campus tours, sample lectures, and Q+A chats with undergraduate students. In the afternoon, each university hosted a viewing session allowing students to showcase their video advertisements to each other. Students voted to pick which video was their favourite, meaning there was a winner from each of the 11 universities who hosted an event.
After the university visits, the MEP team and fellow IOE Confucius Institute team members reviewed the videos that had been submitted as part of the Year 10 Tourism Project and picked their favourites, based on: the use of language, creativity, and marketing strengths.
The winning videos as picked by the IOE Confucius Institute team, and those voted for by students on the university visit days, are shown below. Well done to all students whose work features on this page!
