IOE Merger with UCL

On December 2nd 2014, the Institute Of Education (IOE) and University College London (UCL) formally completed the process of merger, and the IOE (and the IOE Confucius Institute as a component of IOE) became a part of UCL.

Chris Husbands, IOE Director said; “I am convinced that merger provides the best route to securing the IOE’s mission and to providing a platform for us to build on our successes and achievements”.

IOE CI will be part of the UCL Institute of Education going forward. We expect that you will notice minimal change and we will continue to offer exactly the same level of support and commitment as before.

The merger is very positive for the Confucius Institute and the opportunities that are likely to be presented to IOE and IOE CI to extend our work and influence – locally, nationally and internationally – as a result of merger are exceptional.
