Early Career Micro-programme 2026–27: CPL for Early Career Teachers of Mandarin

UCL IOE CCLE’s Early Career Micro-programme (ECMP) is now open for applications from early career teachers (ECTs) of Mandarin across the UK.

Focusing on Chinese GCSE, this continuing professional learning (CPL) programme will support ECTs to:

  • develop understanding of the GCSE specification;
  • strengthen teaching to support progression for all learners, including through appropriate use of AI tools;
  • develop medium- to long-term curriculum plans that support inclusive teaching and learning.

The programme includes three in-person sessions at UCL, with tasks to complete between sessions and at the end of the programme:

  • Saturday 5 December 2026, 11:00–16:00
  • Saturday 6 March 2027, 11:00–16:00
  • Saturday 1 May 2027, 11:00–16:00
