The UCL IOE CI 2016 Annual Chinese Teaching Conference which took place last Friday and Saturday was a great success. We would like to thank all those who took part and attended, your input is invaluable.

The title of the Conference this year was ‘Creativity and Collaboration: Meeting the Challenges Ahead’ and featured plenary sessions from an array of speakers who contributed expertise and passion to the discussions. A plenary session from the band Transition kickstarted the ‘creative’ element of the conference and performances from primary and secondary schools enhanced it.

The  workshops reflected the main themes of the conference, which were technology, primary, teaching and learning, as well as exams and career development. The Conference was very lucky to have such a variety of workshop leaders from different countries and professions, who could bring to the table their knowlegde and experience. Feedback from the this year’s workshops has been overwhelmingly positive and reinforces the importance of our Conference in the Chinese teaching world.
