The IOE Confucius Institute Annual Chinese Conference is the largest CPD opportunity of its kind in the UK for teaching professionals in the subject area of Mandarin Chinese. The 22nd Annual Chinese Teaching Conference will take place on Saturday 11th October 2025 at IOE, UCL’s Faculty of Education and Society in London. The Annual Chinese Teaching Conference will be a one day event. This year’s conference theme is “Evolving Classrooms – Adapting Methods of Mandarin Teaching to Keep Pace with Changing Contexts”. This theme reflects the growing need for flexibility in pedagogical approaches, as educators navigate shifting student demographics, technological advancements, and diverse learning environments. From integrating AI-driven language tools to fostering immersive cultural experiences, Chinese teaching is no longer confined to traditional classroom settings. Teachers are increasingly incorporating blended learning, interactive digital platforms, and task-based methodologies to engage students more effectively and address different learning needs.
