As the first Chinese national who gained qualified teacher status in the UK, Xiaoming Zhu, our National Network Coordinator, has witnessed the amazing development of Mandarin Chinese as part of the modern foreign languages curriculum in schools across England.
In an interview with the British Council’s Voices team Xiaoming explains how the subject has grown over the past 20 years, highlighting why now marks the perfect time for schools to develop their Mandarin provision.
