MEP students to study A-levels in Changzhou, China

We are pleased to announce that a number of MEP students have secured a life-changing scholarship to study A-levels at Wycombe Abbey School in Changzhou, China.

This amazing opportunity which is provided by Engage with China gave the chance for MEP students to successfully apply for a 2-year all expenses paid scholarship to study their A levels at a bi-lingual international school in mainland China.

Students from Mayfield Grammar School, Didcot Girls’ School, Calday Grange Grammar School and St Birinus School were among the successful applicants.

Katharine Carruthers, Mandarin Excellence Programme Strategic Director said:

I am delighted that these Mandarin Excellence Programme students have successfully applied to study A-levels at Wycombe Abbey School in Changzhou. The students have studied for 5 years in an MEP school, learning Mandarin for 8 hours per week, so this will have given them an excellent foundation to take full advantage of this wonderful opportunity. I am really looking forward to hearing about their progress over the next two years as they continue on their journey to fluency in Mandarin.

This is another example of the opportunities the Mandarin Excellence Programme can bring to students across the country.

Congratulations to the successful students and we wish them best of luck in their studies in China!
