We are currently organising 2-day training sessions in 5 regions around the country over Fridays and Saturdays through November. The training is based around the use of the Better Chinese Better YCT iPad app. For those attending the training, the app will be made available free of chargeto every pupil in the school and to their families for one year.Use of the app is not dependent on your school being fully iPad equipped, as the training will demonstrate how it can equally be used with only a teacher’s iPad. The app is designed to bring Students to YCT Level 1 and is also aligned with the IOE Confucius Institute’s own Programme of Study for Primary Mandarin.
The training will include both use of the app itself and a more general look at new approaches to teaching Primary Mandarin. It is free of charge with limited funds available to subsidize overnight accommodation if necessary. Access to the app is dependent on attendance at both days of the training.
