IOE in Chinese News (网易)

Chris Husbands, Director of the Institute of Education (IOE), and Katharine Carruthers, Director of the IOE Confucius Institute, recently gave an interview for NetEase (网易), one of the most popular internet technology companies in China.

NetEase Inc. is one of China’s largest web portals, popular for its news and general information dissemination, with a leading mobile news app that has been downloaded by over 160 million users. It offers a diverse range of services for Chinese netizens, including China’s number one e-mail service (including,,, and, a popular instant messaging app called YiChat, and a variety of online games.
