This micro-programme is part of our revised professional learning provision—developed and delivered by UCL IOE Centre for Chinese Language Education.
Tailored subject-specific support complementing statutory ECT induction and aligned with the Teachers’ Standards. Integrates an AI-aware educational landscape.
THREE INTERCONNECTED DIMENSIONS:
1. CONTENT:
- Understanding and de-understanding the curriculum
- Scaffolding GCSE Chinese with AI-assisted content identification
2. PRODUCT:
- Mobilising linguistic competence for GCSE success
- Linking language knowledge to purposeful learning tasks
3. PROCESS:
- Designing adaptive and inclusive teaching
- Low-workload, high-impact differentiation and feedback strategies
Learning through mini-lectures, workshops and joint practice development with subject experts and peers.
DURATION: 15 hours (3 Saturdays)
